Why kids love it

Slime ends up on the rug and playdough gets thrown. Plain gel kits give one dull color and shapes that are hard to make. Here your child squeezes bright color into a mold, floats it in water, and lifts out a sea creature that even glows in the dark, while the mess stays in the tub.

What is in the kit

Twenty color gels in three finishes: ordinary, glow-in-the-dark and glitter. Ten molds, mostly sea creatures. Setting powder, a lift-out net, a mixing stick and a step-by-step guide.

Safety and ages

The box is marked for ages three and up. The kit has small parts and the setting powder is labeled not for eating, so younger children should be watched closely. Keep pieces out of little mouths and have a grown-up nearby.

How to use it

Whisk one packet of setting powder into about 800 ml of warm water for five minutes. Squeeze your color into a mold, lay the mold flat in the water, and wait about thirty to sixty minutes. Lift out your finished figure with the net.

What your child gets out of it

Hands-on color play, a bit of patience while the figure sets, and the pride of holding something they made. No screen, and after lights-out the glow figures light up on their own.

Still have questions?

How long does a figure take to make?

Whisk one packet of setting powder into about 800 ml of warm water for five minutes, squeeze your color into a mold, and lay it in the water. A figure sets firm in about thirty to sixty minutes, so your child holds it the same afternoon.

Is it messy?

The color stays in the water bath. You lift the finished figure out with the net, and most of cleanup is pouring out the water and a quick rinse. We would still keep a towel nearby.

What age is it for?

The box is marked for ages three and up. It has small parts and the setting powder is not for eating, so younger children should be watched closely and kept from putting pieces in their mouths.

How many figures can we make?

One kit holds twenty color gels, ten molds and several packs of setting powder, enough for session after session. The exact number depends on how much gel goes into each figure.

Do the figures last?

Figures are a play result. They hold their shape well enough to lift out, line up and show off, but they are made to be enjoyed, not kept forever. When your child is done, you simply start a new one.

What if my child does not take to it?

You are covered by our thirty-day money-back promise. If the kit is not a hit within thirty days of delivery, email us with your order number for a full refund. No hoops to jump through.
